  • Create a Winning Achievement Record - Use this PowerPoint presentation to assist you in completing your Ohio 4-H Achievement Record. Lots of good ideas!

  • My 4-H Career Record Book - Keep this book in a safe place and add to it each year. This will provide you with a thorough record of your 4-H career and will make applying for awards and scholarships easy

  • Member Record Form - Use this form to maintain a record of your 4-H activities, projects, awards and honors. It will come in handy when you become eligible to apply for county and state achievement awards, scholarships, camps and conferences through the Ohio 4-H Achievement Record.

YQCA Training option for 2020 Quality Assurance Trainings only: Youth are eligble to complete the YQCA Online training. There is a cost of $12 per EACH YOUTH who is certified.Once completed, please email Lisa McCutcheon: mccutcheon.46@osu.edu with the name of the youth and the CERTIFCATION NUMBER for final approval. Doing the online training is one option for all youth for 2020 only. We will still plan to have face-to-face Quality Assurance trainings once we are allowed to do so. Please use whichever option works best for your family.

As you may have heard, Bogs Footwear is launching a 4-H themed rubber chore boot for kids, women and men. Bogs will be donating $5 from the sale of each pair back to 4-H. These boots are due to be released to ship to retailers on July 1, 2020. That date is not in concrete at this point and could easily be pushed back potentially to August 1, 2020. Vance Outdoors is excited to offer all 4-H members the opportunity to pre-order these boots. Below, you will find links to three sales flyers with all of the information needed to purchase the boots. We have tried to make this as convenient as possible to order by setting up a dedicated weblink where members can purchase online with a credit card or they may visit any of our three locations where they can order and pay by credit card, cash or check. 2020 Photo ID Badges - Who needs to have a picture taken this year?

  • All new exhibitors and ALL advisors (Advisor photos will now be good for three (3) years. All advisors should have their photo taken in 2020)

  • All 2020 exhibitors with last names beginning with N thru Z (even years)

  • Who does not need a new picture taken this year?  Exhibitors with last name beginning with A thru M (odd years) and you had a 2019 ID Photo Badge.  A new badge will be issued with last year's photo. 

  • Everyone will receive a new ID Badge for 2020.

  • Advisor badges will be issued from the Senior Fair office and Exhibitor badges will be issued from either the Junior Fair Board Office or Ramsey 4-H Center. All badges issued in a prior year cannot be used for admission to the fair and will be confiscated if presented.

December 13, 2019:

The 2020 Ohio 4-H Conference brings together 4-H volunteers and teens (age 13 and older) from across Ohio. You can participate in a variety of educational session that offer something for everyone! Join us as we learn  from one another to make the best better for Ohio 4-H programs. Registration opens at 8:00 am and Session I starts at 9:00 am. Making eXtreme Counselors (MXC)--an interactive and quick-paced training that offers innovative camp ideas to new and veteran camp counselors ages 14 to 18 who plan to serve as camp counselors. MXC participants will leave with skills that will enable them to assist in their county's camp program planning and delivery, and prepare them to deliver a great camp program to their campers. MXC is a national award-winning workshop that will be useful for all potential camp counselors. Don't miss your chance to participate—the event will be offered once in 2020, during the weekend of February 22-23. MXC will be held at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. Counselors will earn camp counselor training hours while attending this event (number of hours is determined by county).  All participants will receive a take-home kit of supplies. They also will be able to share and gain ideas with teens from other counties all across the state.  County Extension Professionals and Camp Directors are NOT required to attend with their counselors. Ohio Youth Capital Challenge: Teens interested in learning more about government are invited to apply for the 2020 Ohio Youth Capital Challenge. A select group of youth will learn how to make a difference through public policy and action. Delegates will travel to Columbus for an overnight training with legislators and aides in the State Capital, develop policy and prepare a presentation for public hearing. State 4-H Junior Shooting Sports Camp - June 26-28, 2020 - The Licking County 4-H Committee will be choosing two 4-H members, who will be between the ages of nine and twelve as of January 1st, 2020, to participate in State 4-H Junior Shooting Sports Camp. State 4-H Junior Shooting Sports Camp is a residential camp, and will be held at Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp in Jackson, Ohio. Once individual has been selected during the first round of applications. A second chance to apply has become available in hopes that the committee can select a second youth to attend. Application due to the Extension Office by Friday, December 6, 2019. Leadership Washington Focus - July 27-31, 2020 - The Licking County 4-H Committee chooses two 4-H members, who will be completing the 8th grade in the spring of 2020, to participate in Leadership: Washington Focus (LWF). While one delegate has been chosen during the fall teen awards selection process, one position remains open – and will be selection through this application process. Leadership Washington Focus (LWF) is a 4-H leadership program for youth that will take place at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, just 1 mile outside Washington, D.C. For more than 50 years, thousands of 4-H’ers have participated in our high school program, Citizenship: Washington Focus and now we are happy to introduce its precursor for middle school 4-H'ers, LWF.
