Licking County OCVN Program Training Classes

Two training classes have been offered in Licking County resulting in 27 Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists (OCVNs).

These volunteer naturalists completed 40+ hours of science-based class work and field work.  Classes were held at Dawes Arboretum, the Homestead and Bioreserve at Denison University, Kraner Nature Center and Infirmary Mound Park (which are part of the Licking Park District), and Rouse Farm. These sites provided varied natural areas for the hands-on study.  Since the beginning of the program in 2007, this small group of volunteer naturalists have donated over 3,500 hours to local and state partners.
