2009 OSU Income Tax Schools Announced
Tax law and rule changes are a frustration for all taxpayers, but tax practitioners must somehow learn about the changes and how to comply with the new rules. The OSU Income Tax Schools have become a popular way to get the needed update.
Tax practitioners will have an opportunity to attend one of ten Income Tax Workshops offered in November and December according to Dr. Warren Lee, Director of the OSU Income Tax Schools, The Ohio State University. The OSU Income Tax Schools offer up to 16 hours of continuing education credit for accountants, enrolled agents and attorneys.
These workshops are intended for persons with income tax experience who prepare and file tax returns for individuals, farms and small businesses. The instructors will focus on changes and problem areas related to preparation of federal and state returns. Participants will receive copies of the 2009 National Income Tax Workbook including a searchable CD containing the 2007-2009 Workbooks.
The workshop locations and dates for 2009 are: Cincinnati, November 5 (new one day school); Brunswick, November 10 (new one day school); Fremont, November 12-13; Columbus, November 16-17; Kent, November 18-19; Dayton, November 23-24; Ashland, December 1-2; Chillicothe, December 3-4; Lima, December 8-9; and Zanesville, December 10-11.
